At the board meeting, First Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Dmitry Glushko shared Russia’s experience in organizing the educational process during the period of restrictive measures.
“We are conducting daily monitoring of the epidemiological situation in educational institutions. During the period of restrictive measures in the spring, the hotline of the Ministry of Education of Russia received about 14 thousand calls per month. Now, since the beginning of the school year, a little more than 4.5 thousand applications have been received. The monitoring system and answers to questions allow us to reduce the number of requests and fight against information injections, ”he said.
Dmitry Glushko also informed that today almost 86% of students study full-time, while schools combine various formats of education.
Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Viktor Basyuk spoke about the priorities of the Ministry of Education of Russia in the field of general education.
“A quality education system is a teacher’s daily teaching of his subject, which includes the use of advanced teaching methods, understanding the basics of psychology, building a dialogue with students and working outside the classroom,” he stressed.
Viktor Basyuk recalled that in Russia, in accordance with the instructions of the President, the portal “Russian Electronic School” is functioning, which is a free catalog of interactive lessons for the entire school course from 1st to 11th grade.
“The portal has published 5986 lessons in 31 subjects. During the 2020 pandemic, more than 46.5 thousand people from the Republic of Belarus used the portal materials, ”he said.
The Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Igor Karpenko, in turn, recalled the agreement to start the implementation of the Union State project from 2022, within the framework of which children from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation could study in the Polotsk Cadet Corps (Republic of Belarus).
During the visit, Russia and Belarus signed a protocol of a joint meeting of the board of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus.
As part of the trip to Minsk, the delegation of the Ministry of Education of Russia visited the National Center for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth, the Minsk State Automotive College named after academician M.S. The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Secondary Professional Education: Practice and Management – 2020” was held in St. Petersburg. The conference included meetings of three sections.
